How Our Pricing Structure Works.
Goldys Brand, Inc. will begin accepting Gas / Electric / Battery / Pole Mounted hedge trimmers for sharpening on March 2, 2026
All quoted sharpening prices are quoted as “Off The Unit” blades meaning the customer removed the blades from the unit before bringing them to us for sharpening.
If the entire unit is brought to us intact, we charge $30.00 to remove the blades from your unit and then to reinstall them on the unit before we give them back.
Our pricing is based upon the number of teeth we need to sharpen on the top and/or bottom blade. We will sharpen one edge on each tooth for the quoted price.
For Gas Trimmers where we are removing the blades, you MUST completely drain the fuel BEFORE bringing the unit to us.
E.G. If a blade has sharpened teeth on one side only, and if there are 20 teeth the length of the blade, if both the top and bottom blades are sharpened this way with the top blade having one side sharpened, and the bottom blade having the other side sharpened, then that will be a total of 40 teeth needing to be sharpened with one edge per tooth.
Teeth that have 2 edges is the equivalent of sharpening 2 teeth, so the cost per tooth for 2 edges is double.
If both blades have sharpened edges, on both sides of the bar, that becomes a total of 80 teeth needing sharpening.
If the teeth have the outside edge also sharpened, that will be an extra charge as listed in the price list.
