Check out how we can save you money and make your wood chipper run better because of sharpened blades by clicking THIS LINK.

If your specific model has ANY constraints on how to sharpen your blades, please let us know in advance, and provide the make and model of your wood chipper for us to reference for researching constraints on sharpening blades

There are hundreds of models of wood chippers and we depend upon the customer to have the knowledge to provide us with any constraints BEFORE we are given the blades to sharpen.

UPDATE: 02/06/2025:
Specifically for Wood Chipper Blades, we will require a cleaning of the blades before we can sharpen them so that all the dried on sap and dirt can be removed before sharpening.

This provides 2 benefits.  First, with all that accumulation on the blades from Wood Chippers, it will be almost impossible to get the correct angle to sharpen a blade because this dried on stuff is anything but level.

The second benefit it that a clean blade will not clog or even worse ruin our sharpening wheels and cups.  This can seriously impact our ability to sharpen flat blades and results in higher costs for us which we must pass along to our customers in the form of higher sharpening fees.

CAUTION!!!!!   Wood Chipper blades MUST be installed to tolerances measured in 1/1,000 of an inch.  MANY manufacturers of Wood Chippers specifically include text in their manuals telling owners to NOT sharpen blades with an angle grinder.  Sharpening Wood Chipper Blades with an angle grinder can significantly reduce the number of times a blade can be sharpened, resulting in a higher cost to operate the machinery.  In severe cases, a blade sharpened out of tolerances can damage the wood chipper resulting in down time and significant repair costs.  If your manual says not to use an angle grinder, please heed that advice because failure to do so can cost way more than a new set of blades!!
